Today is our 5th day in Europe. So far we have had many experiences that have given us different perspectives on the cultures of Germany and Austria. Dachau, was a incredibly sobering experience that we couldn't possibly have prepared for. Thought out school we have learned about the Holocaust but actually seeing the camp changed our view of how horrific these events were. To me the prison gave me the most physical reaction. The way it was set up was straight out of a horror movie but obviously this was an actual horror for millions of individuals. Overall it was important for us to go there especially for the purpose of this class and to truly understand the hardships they faced. We continue to learning more about these events.
